Lil's Muesli

Lil's Muesli:


So a gorgeous girl I work with Lily gave me this amazing muesli recipe that you all must try! It takes less than 20 mins to make so we all have the time.

It is so important to try and make all your food yourself! Buying pre-made or packaged food from the supermarket is something we need to try and stick away from. For example, muesli that you buy from the supermarket has way more ingredients then what we really need, a lot more added sugar for one and other preservatives.

By simply creating our own unique recipe buy using the nuts, grains and seeds we like and other natural ingredients, you can enjoy your muesli guilt free every morning!

This granola in particular goes great with a big bowl of natural Greek yoghurt and fresh raspberries. Something I myself have most mornings for breakfast :)

So here it is..



Ingredients:


1 cup Rolled Oats

½ cup Quinoa

Handful of Almonds

½ cup Shredded Coconut

1/3 cup Pepita's and Sunflower Seeds

1tsp Cinnamon

2Tbsp Coconut oil

2Tbsp Honey



Method:
1. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl
2. Melt coconut oil and honey together in microwave or stove top and mix together
3. Pour over dry ingredients, making sure all is covered and combined
4. Spread muesli on shallow baking tray, lined with baking paper and cook at 160⁰C for 10 to 15 mins or until golden brown

5. Wait until cool before removing from tray
6. Break up and store granola in an airtight container

     Enjoy!
